Jenolan Caves

The Jenolan Cave area is located at the bottom of a big valley about 3 hours from Sydney.It has a lot of tourist caves (show caves) which in some cases you have to go through to get to the dive sites. There are other Wild Caves futher up the valley, the dry caving in some cases takes hours to get to the dive sites. Slug Lake ,which is the deepest water (100mfw+) in a cave on the Australian mainland is in Mammoth Cave which is also the deepest overall cave on the Australian Mainland .
Jenolan Cave System is broken into three streamways named (C)Central River with (S)Southern Show Caves & (N)Northern Show/Wild Caves.

Imperial Cave

Most of the dive in less than 12 meters. Drops down to 24 meters in main chamber where it joins main passage to resurgence(blue lake),Downstream Imperial Cave would rate as the best for diving yet to be push through to Blue Lake but that is were the water come out.

Far Country Cave

Far Country starts just between 2&3 sumps in Upstream Imperial.So far they have push it to sump 7.Keir took Rob Pamler there and he said it was the dirtest little hole in the world.

Barralong Cave

Barralong Cave is upstream of River Lethe but not joined as yet (see main map on the Jenolan region page). Barralong Lake can be dived both upstream and downstream.
