Mt Arthur and the surrounding ranges are massive marble mountains, riddled with some of the deepest and most spectacular caves in Australasia if not the southern hemisphere. There is a cave up here known as Blizzard pot, but more commonly known as ?the nettlebed system? It is one of the deepest through trip caves in the world. This is a 24 hr dry caving trip from blizzard pot to nettlebed covering approx 800 mtrs vertically. H.H cave which has just had a recent push to approx 720mtrs vertically.(through an eighty mtr long sump at 650mtrs)
This cave has been extensively sureyed and puts it approx 300mtrs horizontally & 180mtrs vertically from the mouth of the Pearse resurgence.
