Dive Locations in Cathernine Hill Bay

Wallaral

Iron steamer, 1448 tons, 55 metres long. She foundered in April 1914 while loading coal at the wharf. She went aground on a sandbar after the bowline snapped. She was unable to be saved despite the shovelling overboard of 1000 ton of coal by hand. Links to; Datasheet

Shamrock

Iron steamer, 1335 tons, 78 metres long. She foundered in April 1903 after loading coal at the wharf. A rope fouled her propeller causing the ship to be uncontrollable, she ran up onto a reef which opened the hull flooding and sinking her on the sand. Ove Links to; Datasheet
